School Improvement Work Days

Our “Mackunteers vs. The Grounds” events gather our community together to knock out jobs all over campus in a short amount of time. From painting the art studio to rebuilding the sand box, these work days prove that “many hands make light work .” Bring your tools, your muscle, and a great attitude as we work together to improve our school!

Teacher and Staff Appreciation

We love to "fill teachers' buckets" with small reminders of how much we appreciate all that our teachers and staff give.  Sign up to deliver coffee or lunch or help with a celebration to show how much we love our staff!

Welcoming New Families

We want Mack to be a warm and inclusive community for all families, both new and old! Help make new families feel at home by signing up to be a buddy family, or be a resource for potential students’ families.

Service Learning

We are excited to lean into a tradition of Global Service that enables our students to connect with and have impact on the needs of the world! Volunteers are needed to explore service learning opportunities and bring them to fruition for our students.

MackService Day

This special day supports our mission of Keen Minds, Compassionate Hearts and Global Action and brings us closer toward the dreams of parents and faculty that Mackintosh be a place where children understand the challenges of our local and global communities, apply their empathy and creativity to develop solutions, and take action to create a better future. Projects have included a running a book drive for children in rural Ghana, assembling gift packages for runaway and homeless youth, and performing tasks to help improve our school grounds.

Library Assistance

Our lovely and growing library is in continual need of volunteers to catalog and cover new books, reshelve existing collections, and complete other miscellaneous tasks.

Design Lab Assistance

Our amazing design lab requires maintenance to stay organized and stocked with supplies so that our students can continue to unleash their creativity! Volunteers will work with Charlie Warren, our science and design teacher, to keep the design lab running smoothly.

Grocery and Gift Card Program

These programs can be a huge and easy source of revenue for the MPC! Volunteers are needed to get the word out and facilitate the purchase of these cards online and at certain MPC events, as well as to publicize our Amazon smiles and Bunny Bucks (Grandrabbits Toy Store) accounts.

MPC Leadership Team

Join the MPC leadership team to build community and have a huge impact at Mack! Collaborate with the administration, teachers, and staff to guide the direction of the school and achieve MPC initiatives. Positions available include Chair, Vice Chair, Community Events Chair, Teacher Appreciation Chair, and Fundraising Chair.

Classroom Representatives

This is an essential position that facilitates communication between the Mack Parent Council, the administration, and the classroom community! Working with the classroom teacher, reps disseminate information to parents, help coordinate volunteers for class activities or events, and build community within their classroom families.  They also welcome new families to the class, plan teacher birthday celebrations, and help organize the class gift for the Spring Auction. This is a fun and crucial role in the life of our school community!

Other – YOU Tell Us!

We know that many of you have strengths, skills, and passions that could benefit our school community but may not fit into any of the categories listed above! For example, we have parents who are photographers, bakers, psychologists, web site developers, and more! Also, some parents are more able to help with things they can do at home (baking, teacher-supporting tasks, etc.) while others can volunteer on campus. If you have a special area of expertise or interest that you would be willing to share with the Mackintosh community, or if you have specific constraints around your ability to volunteer, please let us know! We would love to get you involved!
